6/7/22 The new Multicomp Pro DC Power Supply was put through it's paces, up to practically full load conditions (with a 200 watt resistor connected to it). The unit is a model no. MP710087 rated 60 volts and 3 amps. There is also a model no. MP710086 that is rated 30 volts and 5 amps. These are available from Newark Electronics, which is the North American division of Farnell. This was the first time operation of this unit (other than some initial no load test and features run-through), hence there was a little bit of fumbling around with the settings, and not realizing that the current was limiting the whole power output of the unit when it was set to 2 amps, etc. The calculator seen in this video is a Casio fx-991ES PLUS. Note that it has polar to rectangular and rectangular to polar conversion features on it, that seem to be missing from a lot of today's scientific calculators(?).
