How to change a roller shutter spring. Completely detach the shutter from the box and move the hook away from the working area. Insert the steel lever into the box to block rotation. Start pulling out the spring: a hammer can be used to help. Continue pulling out the spring winding it up over itself as shown in the video. Warning: this can be a dangerous procedure so care must be taken at all times to prevent bodily injury. Eye protection and safety gloves are recommended. Remove the fixing screw and the remaining end of the spring. Prepare the spring (that has to be apt for manual mounting). Roll the spring around the shaft: take care to follow the right direction as shown in the video. Insert the perforated end in the box; attach it to the shaft with the supplied screw using a 5mm allen key. Set the spring over the box; pull it and roll it over. Repeat this operation to completely insert it. Tension the spring using the steel levers as shown: turn the box for as many rotations as requested on the spring label. Attach the shutter back to the box by the hook. Oil up. Procede to test the gear, changing tension if necessary, to get the perfect balancing.
