Shanghai has always been a city that reaches for the sky. Now it is taking that ambition to new heights. The Stage, a brand-new open-air observatory offering a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city from 320 metres above ground, is now open to the public. It’s on the roof of the tallest building in Puxi, part of Sinar Mas Plaza in Hongkou District. Once a helipad, this rooftop has been transformed into one of Shanghai’s most stunning observatories. What makes The Stage truly special is its perspective. It’s the only spot in the city where you can see both the Bund and Lujiazui side by side, in perfect harmony. Every angle tells a different story as you walk a full circle around the observatory. And it’s not just a view. It’s also a theatrical journey of sorts. Inspired by Shakespeare's iconic monologue 'All the world's a stage', the viewing experience is a five-act immersive play. Each act features its own blend of premium materials, colors, lighting, scents, and music. The Stage opens to the public starting April 15th. Tickets are already available online. Whether you’re a traveler, a dreamer, or a local seeing the city anew, The Stage invites you to look at Shanghai from a whole new perspective.
