Managing Trustee of Aashiana Trust and Jay Kay Trust, J C Chaudhry sets up Maa Vaishno Devi Ashram on Krishna's playground. Now you can pay your respects to Maa Vaishno Devi in Braj Bhoomi - the play ground of Lord Krishna. A 140 ft high beautiful idol of Maa Vaishno Devi sitting atop a majestic lion on a rock formation with Lord besides her with hand folded, greets you as soon you turn towards Vrindavan on the Delhi Agra national highway. Situated on Chhatikra - Vrindavan Road, district Mathura, this lofty idol is part of the Maa Vaishno Devi Aashram built by J C Chaudhry, managing trustee of Aashiana Trust and Jay Kay Trust. Spread over 11 acres, this temple is Chaudhry's gift to the Mother Goddess. It is the first temple dedicated to Maa Vaishno Devi in Vrindavan. Vrindavan is a small town near Mathura, famous for Krishna Leelas. Krishna would indulge in pranks such as stealing the gopis clothes while they bathed in the river. Krishna leelas were the source of inspiration for Gita Govinda, the famous Sanskrit work by the Odisha poet, Jayadeva in 1200 century AD. A140 kms south of Delhi and 45 kms north-west of Agra, Vrindavan, got its name from the dense tulsi (basil) forests around. Not much of the legendary for est exists today, except the Nidhivan and Seva Kunj but Vrindavan continues to be an important pilgrimage centre for Hindus. It has hundreds of temples dedicated to the worship of Radha and Krishna.
