YOUTH SERVICE – WAY OF SALVATION CHURCH TOPIC: “DELIGHT YOUR STRENGTH IN THE LORD” KEY VERSE: Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” INTRODUCTION (5 MINUTES) Youth of God, many young people today are tired—not because they are old, but because life is heavy. School pressure, family problems, peer pressure, and social media drain our strength. God is telling us today: Your strength must come from the Lord, not from yourself. Interactive Question • Who here has ever felt tired or stressed even when nothing physical was wrong? (Allow hands up) 1. OUR OWN STRENGTH IS LIMITED (5 MINUTES) As youth, we trust: • Our energy • Our friends • Our talents But the Bible says human strength fails. Bible References as regards limitation of human strength. • Psalm 146:3 • Jeremiah 17:5 Truth: Anything that is not God will eventually disappoint you. Interactive Questions with the youth during service. • What do young people today trust more than God? • Has anyone ever been disappointed by people or things they trusted? 2. WAITING ON THE LORD RENEWS STRENGTH (10 MINUTES) Waiting on God means: • Praying • Trusting God • Obeying His Word • Being patient Bible References • Psalm 27:14 • Lamentations 3:25 Key Message: Those who wait on the Lord do not collapse—they are renewed. Interactive Questions • Is waiting on God easy or hard? Why? • What usually makes youth rush instead of waiting on God? LESSONS FROM EAGLES AND THEIR CHARACTER Key Scripture Isaiah 40:31 1. Eagles Fly Above Storms Character: Courage & spiritual maturity Eagles do not run from storms; they use the storm’s wind to rise higher. Lesson for Youth: Strong believers don’t panic when problems come. They trust God and rise above fear, pressure, and temptation. Bible Reference: • John 16:33 Storms don’t destroy eagles; they lift them. 2. Eagles Have Sharp Vision Character: Focus & spiritual vision Eagles can see far distances clearly. Lesson for Youth: Youth who depend on God see beyond pleasure, peer pressure, and short-term enjoyment. They focus on God’s purpose. Bible Reference: • Proverbs 29:18 When vision is clear, destiny is protected. 3. Eagles Soar Alone Character: Independence & discipline Eagles often fly alone, unlike birds that move in crowds. Lesson for Youth: Sometimes following God means standing alone for truth, holiness, and obedience. Bible Reference: • Romans 12:2 Godly youth are not afraid to be different. 4. Eagles Renew Their Strength Character: Renewal & perseverance Eagles go through a renewal process to regain strength and feathers. Lesson for Youth: God allows seasons of waiting to renew our faith, character, and strength. Bible Reference: • Psalms 103:5 Waiting on God is preparation, not punishment. 5. Eagles Choose the High Places Character: Excellence & holiness Eagles build their nests on high cliffs, away from danger. Lesson for Youth: God calls young people to higher standards— holy living, pure choices, and excellence. Bible Reference: • Colossians 3:2 High living produces high character. 6. Eagles Are Fearless Character: Boldness & confidence Eagles are fearless and can face larger birds. Lesson for Youth: When God is your strength, fear loses its power. Bible Reference: • 2 Timothy 1:7 God’s strength replaces fear with boldness. 7. Eagles Train Their Young Character: Discipline & preparation Eagles push their young out of the nest to teach them to fly. Lesson for Youth: God sometimes allows challenges to train us for greatness. Bible Reference: SUMMARY LESSON Eagles teach us to: • Deuteronomy 32:11 Discomfort today can produce strength tomorrow. • Trust God during storms • Maintain spiritual vision • Stand for truth even when alone • Wait for renewal • Live at higher standards • Walk in bold faith FINAL CHALLENGE TO YOUTH Ask yourself: • Am I flying like an eagle or living like a chicken? • Am I depending on God’s strength or my own? • What storm is God using to lift me higher? 4.
