In this episode of our van life Australia journey, we visit the Super Pit in Kalgoorlie — the largest open-cut gold mine in Australia. Standing at the edge of this enormous excavation made us realise just how vast Western Australia really is. From the red dirt of Kalgoorlie to the surreal granite curve of Wave Rock and the turquoise waters of Esperance and Cape Le Grand National Park, this stretch of road completely surprised us. Western Australia might just be the most diverse state we’ve explored so far.
