A Ugandan pastor has been arrested and committed to trial following allegations that he raped a male barber in Kampala. The accused, Reuben Turyasingura, is reported to be the leader of Serenity Foundation Ministries. The case was first handled at the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court, where prosecutors presented evidence related to the alleged assault. According to court reports, the pastor and the alleged victim met at a barber shop where the complainant worked. Investigators say the pastor had become a regular customer before the alleged incident occurred on December 28, 2025. Prosecutors claim the pastor contacted the barber to meet him after returning to Kampala, and the alleged assault happened later that day. Due to the seriousness of the allegations, the magistrate ruled that the case should proceed to the High Court of Uganda for a full trial. The case has generated significant public attention in Uganda because it involves a religious leader and serious criminal accusations. The High Court will examine evidence and testimony before determining the final outcome of the case.
