Yesterday I try to start the engine, and in almost 2 houers of trying to get the Bee runing, with the flik on starting,it broke twice a shaft. Not even when the engine run.So I got a littel mad about it. Xena who sell the heads, on E-bay says also ,only front intake cox are build strong enough,to convert to diesel..The offer a havy duty crank for the reed valve engines. Xena is a nice COX shop for al the parts you need. But I try somthing different. I remember, what I do to my MARZ 2,5 diesel. The are also "wel known",that the shafts are too thin and very hard.So I repete the same procedure: Shaft without crankcase in oven...switch on to 250 degr. cel. Slowly warm up,and after 2 good houers, switch of,...and leave the shaft still in the oven. This wil change the structure of the metal. After compleet cool down,I take it out,....and it was deep blue of color....looks good! Now reasembly the tiny engine.I find stil one old copper reedvalve ,and in my opinion, they are bether, because the "breath" much better than the Milar ones.make sure ,if you have a engine like this,to check with your mouth,if the valve works wel. This can save you houers of trying to start without a singel run. Also be sure the cover on the back is wel tight,no demage gasket is a must. This is the only thing, what is very important....and of course,if you convert to diesel...a perfect piston and cilinder,no leaking. The fuel is also important.Smal diesels under 1cc shoud have arround 35% aether and 2% Cetaan booster. This wil alow you too run the engine at much lower compression settings, what wil keep the Bee stress free on the shaft. This wil improof start also very wel. Thanks god also, that the Cox parts are on E-Bay.Not everything, but a lot.Cox make so much engines, there is a lot used stuff also...So fuel it up.... ....and have a lot fun with the DieselBee!! Thanks for watching...moore stuff on its way!
