Join us virtually for Winter College – five days of lunchtime lectures capped off with culinary celebrations on Charter Day. All fun and no exams means this is the collegiate experience of your dreams. Dr. Adam Beissel, Associate Professor of Sport Leadership and Management (SLAM), will join us to discuss the politics and economics behind the 2026 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This session will offer an inside look at how major sporting events impact policy decisions, global relationships, and financial landscapes across host nations. Dr. Adam S. Beissel is an Associate Professor of Sport Leadership and Management (SLAM) at Miami University (OH). Before joining Miami in 2017, Adam previously held a faculty position in the Physical Cultural Studies program at the University of Maryland, College Park.
