Super rare clip of Channel 4 series "Signal - The Day Comics Grew Up". Another off-air recording is available on YouTube but the picture is very dark. This episode focuses on computer games development. Dave Harrison says: "Recently on the forum I noticed that there was a post, where the Graphics/Sprites were ripped from the game Xenon. It got me thinking about a tv program, that was broadcast in 1989, here in the UK on Channel Four. I knew that I had recorded it on a vhs tape, but I could not remember the name of the tv program. After a bit of searching online, I found the name of a program, which was about Comics "Signal-The Day Comics grew up". I then searched youtube and yes it was the one, but the quality of the part which included computer games etc was incredibly dark. So over the weekend I went searching through some boxes and found my tape, which I managed to transfer to pc. It includes David Whittaker, The Bitmaps (Eric, Steve & Mike) Eric is using Degas Elite (Speedball 1) and also the three of them are standing around an ST working on a level of Xenon II, which did not actually make the final release of the game.
