Eager to learn, I devoured every book and video I could find. While I studied locally in Southern California, I struggled to find instruction focused on the Old Masters and long-form studies. Without the means to attend an atelier in NYC or Italy, I turned to the internet, spending four years intensely studying and copying Old Master works. What started as a tedious practice became a passion as I saw real progress in my fundamentals and technique. Through my own challenges, I’ve discovered my mission as an instructor—to be a resource for those who, like me, couldn’t pursue formal education but are determined to master their craft. I hope to help others achieve their artistic goals, no matter their starting point.
