In week two of our Grand Opening series, we continue our journey through 1 Thessalonians and explore the kind of power that truly changes a life. Many things in life can feel like “power-ups” such as success, comfort, approval, or achievement. They can give us a temporary boost of confidence or joy. But when life hits us hard, those temporary sources of strength quickly disappear. The gospel is different. In 1 Thessalonians 1:4–10, Paul reminds the Thessalonian church that the gospel is the power of God. It is a power that does not fade, shrink, or disappear when pressure comes. It is a power that heals what is broken, restores our identity, and produces real transformation from the inside out. First, we see that God’s power works in us. When the Thessalonians heard the gospel, they did not reject it or try to handle life on their own. Even in the middle of affliction, they received the Word with the joy of the Holy Spirit. They embraced the truth that they were loved by God and chosen by Him. Their identity was not earned by performance but secured through Jesus Christ. Then we see that God’s power works through us. Their transformation was so real that it could not stay hidden. Their faith echoed throughout the region and became an example for others to follow. Their lives became a visible witness of what it looks like to belong to God. They turned from idols and began serving the true and living God while waiting for Jesus to return. This message invites us to examine our own hearts. What do we run to when we are stressed? What do we fear losing the most? What shapes the atmosphere of our homes and the direction of our lives? Idols are not always statues. They can be comfort, approval, success, pleasure, or control. But only Jesus deserves the throne of our hearts. The Thessalonians did not receive a temporary boost. They received transforming power. The power of the gospel changes who we are, heals our souls, breaks our idols, and makes us witnesses for Jesus in the world around us. We do not need another emotional high or temporary power-up. We need The Grand Power, the power of God that works in us and through us every day. 💚🤍 Keystone Harvest exists to connect with people, lead them into a real and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ, and equip them for life and service. —— Stay Connected Website: www.keystoneharvest.org Instagram: www.instagram.com/keystoneharvest Facebook: www.facebook.com/keystoneharvest Giving Link: https://keystonefellowship.churchcent...
