The day out started with a planned trip to the National Army Museum in London. We got the train from Canterbury to St Pancras as we normally would do and then got the underground (Tom's first time on it) from Kingscross down to Victoria. It was one of those days when loads of other routes were closed off so it was busier than normal. At Victoria we then got on a London bus , finding the bus stop is the most difficult thing I find when getting a London bus. As long as the driver see's you he then deploys the automatic ramps in the middle of the bus , this bus was mostly empty so we easily fitted on. When we got the National Army museum they had a large cloak room we could leave the portable commode (Oyster) that we take around with us on such trips. However it wouldn't have been needed as the museum has a changing places toilet. From there we took a walk over the river thames to Battersea Park which Google maps had said had a children's zoo. We got a little lost trying to find the entrance but when we did we were really impressed. It is a small zoo https://www.batterseaparkzoo.co.uk but has some really impressive kids play areas (including a fire engine and helicopter, life sized). #disabledandhappy #NationalArmyMuseum #Batterseaparkzoo
