"Love is not in the glass" is an Australian LGBT Short Film Written and Directed by Dave Krunal starring Rebeckah Loveday, an Australian to support gender identity and the transgender movement across the world. Director's Statement "Love is not in the glass" is my most accomplished film due to its minimal film production. At its core, the film is a monologue where a transgender woman shares her dating story with her friend. It uses a glass of wine as a metaphor with an analogy to the soul in our body. It doesn't matter whether you are a male or female body; your soul is universal, just like a glass of wine would taste great regardless of whether you drink from a wine glass or a coffee mug. The backstory focuses on when she felt transgender at age 11. The film is my attempt to support the transgender and LGBTQ movement and community. Cait, in the monologue, expresses everything about her past life, loss, first love, first kiss, regret and being a transgender woman in a society with her new friend. In the end, Dave, a photographer, pours the wine from a wine glass into a coffee mug and reflects on her thoughts? Will he be able to accept her soul or body?
