Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote. The best places to eat and drink day two. Welcome to Day 2 where we explore more of the island’s best places to eat and drink. From a budget friendly full English breakfast to local Lanzarote dishes and a cracking Indian meal, this video has plenty of recommendations if you're looking for good food at decent prices. One thing we quickly found out most places in Puerto del Carmen Lanzarote don’t open for breakfast until after 9 AM, so keep that in mind if you're up early. BREAKFAST – Restaurante Famara (Old Town, Puerto del Carmen) Total cost: €26 (including coffee and juice)TripAdvisor Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (507 reviews)https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran... We started the day at Restaurante Famara in the Old Town with a €3.95 full English breakfast. For the price, it was a decent meal with everything you’d expect – eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, and toast. The coffee was good and so was the service. The fresh juice was a nice touch. A solid option if you want a fry up without spending too much. LUNCH – Flamingo's Total cost: €50TripAdvisor Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (56 reviews)https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran... For lunch, we went to Flamingo's, which serves good sized portions and not your normal run of the mill meals. We had: Baconator Cheeseburger – A big, filling burger with plenty of flavour Epic Chicken Wrap with Chips – A hearty wrap packed with chicken and crispy chips Special Chicken Kebab with Chips and Fresh Salad – Juicy, well-seasoned chicken kebab served with a fresh, vibrant salad Fish Fingers and Chips – A simple but good portion of fish fingers and crispy chips Dorada Special Beer – A refreshing Lanzarote favourite , and quite strong! The portions were generous, well cooked, and excellent value for money. The atmosphere was laid back, and the staff were friendly. SNACK – Beer Station Total cost: €3 per beer | €4.75 for the potatoes (shared between four of us)TripAdvisor Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (33 reviews)https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran... In the afternoon, we stopped at Beer Station for a quick drink and something to share. The place had a relaxed atmosphere with nice views of the front and plenty of chance for people watching. The prices were reasonable compared to other bars in the area and you could get a massive beer pump of beer! We ordered: Papas Arrugadas with Mojo Sauce – Lanzarote style wrinkled potatoes served with a red and green sauce Pint of Mahou Beer – A smooth, easy drinking Spanish lager A great little stop if you fancy a cold beer and some local snacks without spending too much. EVENING MEAL – Mumbai Masala Total cost: €100 for everythingTripAdvisor Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (2,729 reviews)https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran... For dinner, we went for an Indian meal at Mumbai Masala. We had not looked at any reviews and just decided this looked nice as we passed. This was hopefully going to be one of the best meals of the trip, with plenty of variety and decent portions. We ordered: Onion Bhaji – Crisp and well seasoned Chicken Pakora – A nice starter with a bit of spice Chicken Dansak – My main dish but how good was it? Cobra Beer (€4.50) – The classic Indian beer to go with a spicy meal The food was full of flavour, the portions were generous, and the service was excellent. Watch the video to see my score out of 10! If you're heading to Puerto del Carmen and looking for good places to eat and drink, these are some solid recommendations that won’t break the bank.
