If you've ever accidentally overtightened the retainer screw for your 3D printer hotend thermistor, you're aware that this will damage the thin insulation and maybe even the wire itself, and cause a short or open circuit in the temperature sensing system, making your printer error out, or even become a fire hazard. I haven't seen this recommended before, but this tiny modification will let you tighten the screw down as you ordinarily would any other fastener, securely retain your thermistor, and protect the leads from damage. All you'll need is another grub screw like the ones that secure the heater cartridge and the throat.
