How far has the US managed to confront its terrible legacy of slavery and racial violence? Some say America has failed to deal with it and that the legacy of slavery lingers on in the country's ghettoes and in Donald Trump's America today. But others insist that affirmative action in the US has helped to put in place a set of laws, policies, guidelines and administrative practices intended to correct and end the effects of racial discrimination and that nothing more needs to be done. So who's got the right of it? As Black history month comes to an end in Europe and across the world, we'll get to grips with this vexing issue...in a moment...
