How far has the US managed to confront its terrible legacy of slavery and racial violence? Some say America has failed to deal with it and that the legacy of slavery lingers on in the country's ghettoes and in Donald Trump's America today. But others insist that affirmative action in the US has helped to put in place a set of laws, policies, guidelines and administrative practices intended to correct and end the effects of racial discrimination and that nothing more needs to be done. So who's got the right of it? As Black history month comes to an end in Europe and across the world, we'll get to grips with this vexing issue...in a moment... They guest were the African American musician and rights campaigner, Gregg Kofi Brown...And in the Abuja studio by the author and professor of political science and black studies Emeka Aniagolu, who for many years taught African and African American history at Ohio Wesleyan University in the US...and by the Jamaican Nigerian international journalist and African Affairs analyst, Lindsay Barrett... They were interviewed by #CharlesAniagolu. Produced by #NissiGabriel.
