Nguyen Thai Dai Van (2656) The format The Tata Steel Chess Tournament is played in a classical round-robin format and takes place in Wijk aan Zee. Time Control: 120 minutes for the first 40 moves 30 minutes for the rest of the game 30 seconds increment per move, starting from move 41 Tournament structure Both the Masters and the Challengers are played as round-robin tournaments.
