“You’re kinda gay.” - Mapleshade’s words to Reedshine, on the Dark Forest Border, approximately 2:22 AM EST. I’M BACKKKK!! WITH ANOTHER CHAPPELL ROAN MAP? Some of you might remember my name from Good Luck Babe, which BLEW UP BTW!! I am SOOOOO grateful for that! You all made my day, especially being a young closeted sapphic girl that is JUST shy of voting age. With everything going on these days, we really need a lighthearted GAY MAP. So… here it is!! And no heartbreak this time! Any archive warnings? Visually, no. This MAP is completely PG when it comes to content. There’s no blood, or inappropriate visuals. HOWEVER… if you know Chappell, you’ll know that some of her song lyrics are kind of… questionable. This happens to be one of those songs that has some rated R lyrics. So please be mindful before watching!! Before people eat me up for using this ship, let me set some things straight {well nothing’s straight on this channel…everyone knows I’m gay asf.. But anyway, that aside} I DO NOT approve of Mapleshade’s actions, and to ship her with a cat that she was angry enough with to kill does not seem like a good idea. I know. But this is an AU MAP, meaning that the events here are not canon. HOW DID THIS IDEA COME INTO PLACE? I LOVEEEEE Chappell Roan. Well, I was listening to her songs, and then I was like… what if.. RWS just SCREAMED Mapleshade to me, and I wasn’t sure why. IDK… Maple kinda gives stoner lesbian vibes to me, am I wrong?? And Reedshine is so innocent and sweet… maybe she needs a little spice in her life, instead of a bland cheater? With this thought in mind, long story short, Mapleshade finds Reedshine blissfully lost in the Dark Forest. Reedshine is at first very skeptical of Mapleshade’s very direct interest in her. She is skeptical of Mapleshade in general, and why wouldn’t she be? Maple killed her mate, and was romantically involved with him. But Reedshine finds that she doesn’t mind Mapleshade’s open flirting attempts… instead she embraces them, which surprises even her. Reedshine, upset with Appledusk’s treatment, decides to hook up with Mapleshade {who’s secretly a badass bisexual, if not lesbian}. She does not regret it whatsoever, and decides to stay in the Dark Forest, and give it a little bit of… an extra shine. You don’t see mates in the Dark Forest, so I wanted to open up that concept. This MAP is extremely lighthearted, even pointing towards a spoof MAP. If this MAP was an A03 post, it would be considered “crack-writing.” NOTE: Yes, some cats are traveling locations because I made the mistake of not setting a specific location for each part LOL. Even so, everything turned out beautiful, and I couldn’t be more proud of my animators.
