Pebbles Trippet was arrested in the early 1990s for transporting cannabis for personal medical use. She was transporting leaf & trim to people in need. This bust would begin a legal battle that would test Pebbles’ resolve and stamina for the next 10 years. Remember before 1996 (Proposition 215), the State of California didn’t recognize those in need of medicinal cannabis as being patients. Along side of Dennis Peron (Author of Prop 215) Pebbles believed in the medical benefits of cannabis and was actively getting medication to patients in need. She believed that it was an implicit right to transport what you could other wise legally posses. After ten years of legal battle Pebbles WON! Her efforts came to support the fourth right in Proposition 215. Prop 215 has four major points; the right to grow cannabis, possess cannabis, obtain cannabis and thanks to Pebbles transport Cannabis. Today its easy to get caught up in the fluff of the Cannabis Industry though the most important thing to keep in your heart as we move forward is that this movement has been happening for quite sometime. There are movers and shakers who sacrificed their lives for us to work in the cannabis industry we now know. Above all these early cannabis activist sacrificed for the true medication that cannabis is out of Compassion.
