Australia Working Holiday Visa Extension Criteria and Process- Renewing for a 2nd and 3rd year. In order to extend your Australia working holiday visa into a second year, you must work a job in the FIRST year of your working holiday visa that meets the following requirments: 1.Is in an approved industry 2.Is in an approved "Area", or "Type" of work 3.Appropriate time period (88 days for 2nd-year visa, and 6 months for 3rd Working holiday visa) 4.Meets the requirement for Regional work More detailed info below: 1.The Approved Industries are: listed here: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas... 2. Approved type of work- you must be working the primary role for one of the jobs above ( aka, you must be picking fruit if you are working on a farm, you can not be doing accounting work, or be a nanny for a family that owns a farm) Examples of Approved types of specified work are:   the harvesting and/or packing of fruit and vegetables pruning and trimming of vines maintaining animals for the purpose of selling them or their bodily produce, including natural increase Note: Maintaining animals for tourism or recreational purposes is not eligible. -- picking fruits on an orchard feeding and herding cattle on a farm horse breeding and stud farming conservation and environmental reforestation work zoo work involving plant or animal cultivation conducting operations relating directly to taking or catching fish and other aquatic species conducting operations relating directly to taking or culturing pearls or pearl shell planting or tending trees in a plantation or forest that are intended to be felled felling trees in a plantation or forest 3. Duration of work: The duration of work required to get your 2nd year working holiday visa is 88 days of work from the first day of work untill last day if you are working 5 days a week.
