After a night spent on the roof of the police station in Quetta, Pakistan, we have been escorted for 4 hours to get the NOC, the document needed for keep crossing Balochistan. We leave Quetta around lunch time and start the second part of the nightmare. If possible, despite a less hot temperature than the previous one, the day take a very bad direction as soon as the sun set. The roads in Pakistan are pretty dangerous, due to crazy truck and bus drivers overtaking each other at high speed even in the middle of a curve, so we ask with more and more insistence to stop somewhere to sleep. But the police start cheating us, saying they are bringing us to a hotel while instead they want to keep driving all night long till the end border of Balochistan. At 11 pm we decide to escalate arguing with police and we finally stop. No way to keep going at those conditions. If the purpose of the escort is keep ourselves safety, well, we are definitely not anymore safe keep going like that. The morning after the day 3 starts. After a few hours we reach the border of Balochistan and we are finally free. At least for a while, before a check point decide to assign us a new escort.
