Especially that wee beach in Dunoon. #NatureCalls is a campaign by @Sottish_Water that is encouraging people to have a wee think about what they flush down the toilet and pour down sinks. Things like wet wipes and period products should be binned, not flushed and unfortunately, this still regularly happens. Even wipes that state they are 'flushable' - aren't! Scottish Water asks that you #BinWipes because many of these products contain plastic, so they don't biodegrade and then combine that with oils, grease etc that are put down sinks...this all creates blockages in our sewer pipes! Everything then spills into our communities, rivers and seas which is so harmful to the environment and our wildlife. I'm going to stop using wet wipes to take my makeup off. That's a promise!
