OH, I suppose I should mention that not all turtleneck shirt MUST NEEDS BE sweaters, and that if one had a SHAWL COLLAR cardigan, then the turtleneck might help prevent some of the itchy neck abrasion that may occur, ...BUT then a mock turtleneck would still be adequate and probably more comfortable than all the extra bulk under the other bulk, but this would all still also be for more AROUND THE HOUSE usage and neigh really for STYLE reasons, and I really fail t' see many necessitations for needing a turtleneck shirt FOR WARMTH indoors so much in modern era age... But again, ye can DO these combos all ye want is think there will be some stunning contrast effect? Personally, I DO collect mock turtleneck shirts for wearing under wool shirts and sweaters as a matter o' near necessity as is, but I have scarce seen many turtleneck shirts for sale much in recent years apart from sweaters, anyway. However, in terms of strict STYLE, a cardigan sweater will always look much better over a proper collar Oxford cloth type shirt, e'en w'out a necktie. Also, I pretty much NE'ER hang up sweaters anymore, especially on plastic hangers, although I suppose those are less bad than some other options.
