What is The Origin of the Shiite-Sunni Separation? How Do Muslims Get Rid of Sectarian Disease? Mustafa İslamoğlu The origin of the Shiite Sunni distinction is political. The first political debates between the companions of Prophet Muhammad have taken the first core of this separation. I have the false answer that everyone will love... Here it is: with the welfare of the ummah. This is a fake answer. Everyone loves this answer but this answer is a lie. There is no ummah to have welfare. So, what is the right answer for those who are not part of the question? This answer has three pillars: If we accept the Islamic nomination that Allah has chosen for us, we will be saved. “Huve semmâkumu-lmuslimîne / Allah named you "Muslims" ˮ (Surat al-Hajj 22/78) says the Qur'an. We are saved on condition that we are willing to name ourselves with Islam and not with our sect. We will be safe when we distinguish the revealed religion and fictitious religion, when we distinguish revelation and culture, and return to the original religion and unify the source. We will be safe when we return to peace, morality, mind, consciousness, will, conscience, mercy, knowledge, self-criticism, life, nature and humanity.
