Meet Luana Pontes, a creative writer and entrepreneur. As founder of Lux Lit Presents, she has organised open mic nights, networking events, and workshops that spotlight new voices in the literary arts. During Black History Month, Luana collaborated with five Black spoken word artists on the project Unearthing Peace & Resolution, a series of writing and performance workshops culminating in a powerful spoken word event in London. Her work blends art and advocacy through the Cayr Charity Public Health & Arts Programme to developing her first poetry anthology, her collaborative spirit and experimental writing style, is uplifting young Black creatives. Part of the A Welcoming Table series, launched during Black History Month and first exhibited at Wolverhampton Art Gallery, before concluding at the Library of Birmingham.
