Sunrise Reflected in Water / Finger Painting For Mindfulness

"Aurora Tide" is an acrylic, abstract finger painting of a beautiful reflection in the water of an ocean sunset. Landscape abstract art is one of my favourite kinds of abstract art to paint. Painting a reflection in water with your fingers may be more tricky than painting with a paint brush or palette knife, but it's all the more satisfying for it. As you can see, the key is lots of horizontal strokes, pulling the various colours and blends across the canvas. I sometimes mention that it's difficult to paint pink and green together. However, here, by blending both into the white first, and then into each other, you can achieve some beautiful blending effects. After that, adding the yellow into the pink/ white mix is simply magic! Winsor & Newton Galeria Acrylic: Cerulean Blue Hue. A British artist based in Kent, painting mainly abstract acrylics. I love experimenting with colour and texture.
