Support my Patreon crowdfunding: http://www.crowdfundstu.com/ Read my comics: http://www.stuartmcmillen.com/ Review of book "Perspective for Comic Book Artists: How to Achieve a Professional Look in your Artwork" by David Chelsea (1997) – from Stuart McMillen’s graphic novel recommendations. This book is exactly what it says in the title. It’s a guide to help you understand how to get accurate perspective in your drawings. It is a really clearly-written guide to understanding how to draw more realistically. It’s worth mentioning that that entire book is a non-fiction comic, using the Scott McCloud technique of showing and telling. David Chelsea uses Socratic dialogue between a teacher and a student that explains how to draw one point-perspective, how to draw two-point perspective, and how to draw three-point perspective. He also gives lots of general hints for making your comics look more realistic. Like how you should pay attention to where your characters' heads are relative to the horizon, depending on the angle that you're using.
