Just because x = 1 is a root doesn't mean we're done with it! It could be a double root (multiplicity of 2). In this quick clip, we test our quotient q(x) = 2x^3 + 7x^2 + 2x - 3. By plugging 1 into this new "depressed" polynomial, we get 8 instead of 0.
