In this video, we cover preparing the wings for fibreglass. We start by re-drilling the screw holes in the wings for later filling with resin, and then by sanding the foil wings smooth. The fibreglass layup for this hydrofoil wing starts on the underside of the wing. We laminate layers of fibreglass cloth and carbon fibre in a particular layup to support the screw connection points to the fuselage, making the wing stiff while also keeping it light. This layup of fibreglass I have done in previous hydrofoil wings and works great, providing you use a timber core as explained in the videos.
