Just outside Kardamili on the road to Areopolis, I find the beach of Foneas. Untouched by excessive tourism, considered the most “known” – unknown beaches. There ends and the gorge. Located on a sharp bend, where there is a bridge with yellow kagkela. The beach is accessed via a small dirt road between trees and an asphalt that leads to a parking area. The beach of Foneas has white pebbles, deep blue waters and the large rock that dominates the middle of the beach creates natural shade and is ideal for climbing and diving in the water. The beach is pretty wild, but it’s not the best for children as the rocks are quite large and can be slippery. However, If you enjoy snorkeling, you’ll find a great experience here too.
