In this video, we take you through the final stage of wall construction on our off-grid, eco-friendly self-build made from straw bales. This marks a huge milestone in our journey to create a sustainable family home from the ground up. We’re not experts — we’re just doing the best we can with what we’ve got! After selling all our belongings and escaping the UK rental trap, we bought an abandoned vineyard with a house, and three barns in Bulgaria. Our progress might seem slow, but we moved here for a better quality of life. Completing the work ourselves and spending quality time with our children means we are living our dream each and every day.
