Mentioned link for TPI information and Tire information as well https://www.sheldonbrown.com/tires.html Tifosi Aethon Sunglasses (1yr Review)    • Tifosi Aethon (1yr Ownership Review!)   So after doing some searching online and via YT, I didn't really find any updated vids on what it's like owning these Conti Classic Tires, so I figured let's do this video! There are definitely some Pro's and Con's to it. Cons: Requires high pressure (95psi is the lowest, but of course, you can maybe get away with it being lower if you weigh less). The Black Chili Compound at high air pressure affects grip (not immensely, but you can feel the tire slightly skid at high speed, especially cornering). The PolyXBreaker liner is not what its cut out to be (it's OKAY). It does help a bit, but the rear tire will see a lot of cuts/flats if you are a bit on the heavier side of things (I'm currently running my old Gatorskin on the rear because the rear one was cut pretty badly). There is only one size option: 25mm (not a super bad thing, but a 28mm would probably offer a more supple and nicer ride and lower pressures perhaps). -The sidewalls flex quite a bit (more than I personally would like for a tire with such high air pressure). Pros: Inexpensive Tires that do the job! ($66 is what I paid for them). NOTE: The prices unfortunately have gone up on Amazon! By like $15 since I bought them! Although the Black Chili Compound skids a bit at high air pressure (no choice) and fast cornering, it still holds you down. So it still works well for the price. Just be careful with wet surfaces!!!! Super dangerous! lol Aesthetics (this tire does look sweet, this is a no brainer, lol) Wear Indicators (super helpful to know when it's time to switch them out). Clincher/Folding Bead (a round wire tire isn't bad, but a folding bead clincher is a bit lighter for sure, and it's easier to mount onto your tire right off the bat, and for switching out flats or remounting your tire on a new wheel, this is just a better option really). Conclussion: Although some of the Cons aren't good, the tire overall is still a good choice for someone on a budget or wants a cheap tire that can be used as a fast trainer or a race tire (when you aren't balling out of control), or if you want to be a fast commuter and got a couple bucks left over, then I say the Pros still outweigh the Cons here. Unfortunately for me the rear tire didn't work out well, but I was heavier when the tire gave out (I have since replaced it with the same, lol). So far so good this time since I've lost a couple pounds, I've had a lot less issues (originally closer to like 195, now I'm 183). In the end, it's not going to get you a CRAP TON of miles, but each person might have a different experience in regards to mileage out of these. Like I mentioned in the video, I still have the front one, and still rolling on it! 240 grams on each tire (roughly), so maybe for some weight weenies that could be an issue, but it's only 1lb for some decent tires that do well, so I see no downside (if you use latex inner tubes, perhaps they'll roll faster and overall just weigh less?
