In the past couple of weeks, we've experienced extreme rainfall from Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, causing extensive flash flooding. Despite the obvious downsides of a natural disaster like this, there are silver linings, in this case quite literally. The mass downpour washed away a lot of sand on some local beaches, so I took the opportunity to go metal detecting on one of the oldest beaches I know. It was the right choice, as there were a lot, and I mean A LOT of treasures that have been hidden for a long time, now reachable by my metal detector!
