She and her husband Lee Martin co-founded the folk group Feeding Leroy and have been writing and singing with the band since 2013. Sonja’s love of folk music has been influenced by Gillian Welch, as well as Kate Wolf, Sandy Denny and Linda Rondstadt among others. She loves to harmonize with other voices and find those close weavings of harmonies that you can feel in your bones. You can find her playing with Feeding Leroy, playing solo or collaborating around the twin ports and Midwest.
