Common Questions When First Dating a Vietnamese Woman... Part #1 Hi, this is Vanessa Ho and in this video, I’m going to answer common questions I’ve been getting from you and other loyal viewers of this channel about dating a mature Vietnamese woman. Before I jump into the Q&A, I want to express my gratitude and thanks to you for the amazing feedback and word of mouth you’ve been providing. If you still have questions after watching this video, please comment below and I’ll answer them in the next video. Don't forget to click "SUBSCRIBE" to receive notifications about my videos regarding meeting, dating and marrying a mature Vietnamese woman. Question #1: Does race matter when dating a Vietnamese woman? My response is this: it used to be a bigger issue 10 to 20 years ago but now, interracial marriages are much, much more common. Having said that, you still want to acknowledge that you’re marrying an adult that was raised in another culture so keep that in mind as you develop your relationship. Question#2: Do II need to learn Vietnamese to date a Vietnamese woman? The short answer is no. Few Vietnamese women would expect you to learn their language because it’s not an easy language to learn. Having said that, if you can learn basic phrases or at least learn the major customs, that will score major brownie points. Of course, if you are willing to invest the time and energy to learn Vietnamese, then you’ll have a deeper appreciation and closeness to her. Question #3: Are there major differences between women from the North and the South? Broadly speaking, the people in the North are more reserved and more formal. For example, when saying hello in Vietnamese to an older person in Vietnamese, it’s more common to fold your arms and bow. Likewise, the table manners are more strict. For example, if you’re a guest, you’re expected to wait until everybody sits down before you do. Likewise, if you’re the youngest person at the table, you’re expected to serve rice to all the others at the table even if you’re in the middle of eating your meal. However, to keep it simple, I would say these are fairly small compared to the common values such as respecting elders. Question #4: Can I stay in Vietnam longer than 30 days at a time? The standard visa only allows for 30 day stays as of August, 2020. However, we have a business partner that can help you get a visa for longer than 30 days. Just reach out and I can connect you with them. Question #5 (The last question in this video): How do I show that I’m serious about a long term relationship vs. casual dating? I recommend demonstrating vs. just saying. For example, even if you find Vietnamese difficult to learn, focus on learning simple phrases. Pay special attention on how to say hello to her parents and older siblings. You can get everything right and if you get that wrong, it can derail everything you’ve done. Watch my other videos on how to learn basic Vietnamese phrases and how to address elders. These are 2 or 3 word phrases that you can learn in a few days. Your lady doesn’t expect you to be fluent in Vietnamese, but if you can demonstrate that her values are important to you, that will communicate clearly that you respect and value her culture, which is a key component for a healthy long term relationship. I hope you found this video valuable. If you have additional questions about what I shared here or other questions, please post them below and I’ll shoot more Q&A videos.
