Creating silicone molds for sculpture involves a lot of work, patience and creative thinking. Silicone molds can also be made easily. Because of the complex nature of some sculpture, a little more ingenuity and engineering is required. In this video I share how I use my methods for creating a complex mold and advanced techniques in an easy-to-understand tutorial. I prefer my silicone jackets to be between ¼” – 3/8” thick. About 4-5 layers of silicone should get you there. Molding preparation is half the battle, but it makes the process much more easy. Please, be patient with yourself and your materials.
