NPS | NPS Scheme | National Pension Scheme | What Is NPS ?

About This Video : The National Pension Scheme (NPS) is a government-backed retirement savings scheme in India that encourages individuals to invest in a pension fund to secure their future. It was introduced by the Government of India in 2004 for employees in the government sector, and later expanded to include all citizens in 2009. Here are the key features of the NPS: Voluntary Participation: It is open to all Indian citizens, including those working in the private sector, self-employed individuals, and even students above 18 years of age. Two Accounts: Tier-I Account: This is the mandatory account, where contributions are made and cannot be withdrawn until the individual reaches the age of 60, except under specific conditions like critical illness or death. Tier-II Account: This is optional and allows more flexibility with withdrawals. It functions like a regular savings account, allowing the individual to deposit or withdraw money anytime. Investment Options: NPS allows subscribers to choose from a range of investment options for their contributions, such as equity, corporate bonds, government securities, etc., and provides a choice between active and auto choice investment strategies. Tax Benefits: Contributions to NPS are eligible for tax deductions under Section 80C, up to a limit of ₹1.5 lakh per year. Additional tax benefits under Section 80CCD(1B) allow contributions of up to ₹50,000 to be deducted from taxable income, over and above the ₹1.5 lakh limit. Tax-free returns are applicable at the time of withdrawal, though some tax is levied on the annuity portion. Pension at Retirement: At the time of retirement (usually 60 years), NPS subscribers can withdraw a portion of the accumulated corpus as a lump sum (up to 60%) and use the remaining amount to buy an annuity to provide a regular monthly pension. Portability: The NPS is portable across jobs and locations, meaning if you change jobs or cities, you can continue your contributions without interruption. Low Costs: The NPS is known for its low management fees compared to other pension or retirement schemes. The National Pension Scheme (NPS) offers several benefits to individuals who choose to invest in it for their retirement. Some of the key benefits include: Tax-Free Growth: The returns generated from the investments in the NPS are tax-free, which means you don’t have to pay taxes on the returns earned on the corpus during the accumulation phase. 2. Higher Returns The NPS provides a range of investment options, allowing subscribers to invest in equity, government securities, and corporate bonds. The ability to invest in equity gives the potential for higher returns, especially for long-term investors. On average, NPS has historically provided better returns than traditional savings instruments like PPF and EPF due to its exposure to equity and other market-linked instruments. 3. Retirement Security The primary objective of NPS is to create a retirement corpus, ensuring a regular income post-retirement. Upon reaching 60 years of age, the subscriber can withdraw up to 60% of the accumulated corpus as a lump sum and use the remaining 40% to buy an annuity, providing a lifelong monthly pension. This feature helps ensure that individuals have a steady income stream even after retirement. ------------------------------------------ Our Other Useful Links : ------------------------------------------ 1) XY Axis - Full YouTube Course Link https://xyaxiseducation.com/learn/fas... -------------------------------------------- Some Best Credit Cards Links : --------------------------------------------- SBI Cashback Credit Card https://secure.traqkarr.com/click?pid... ----------------------------------- SBI BPCL Octane Credit Card - Best Fuel Card http://tinyurl.com/IMASBIBPXY ----------------------------------- Tata Neu - HDFC Credit Card https://tinyurl.com/yhf8wae6 ------------------------------------- Kiwi Credit Card https://tinyurl.com/4bm29nv6 ------------------------------------- HDFC Bank Credit Cards Link https://tinyurl.com/29m4ksnt -------------------------------------- Axis Bank Credit Card Links https://tinyurl.com/mux6fe3j -------------------------------------- Best Bank For 0 Balance Account Opening ----------------------------------------- IndusInd Bank 0 Balance Account Opening Link https://mdeal.in/c_Rg0GCaV8TYn0PMD --------------------------------------- Best EMI Credit Card Link --------------------------------- Bajaj Finserv EMI Card Apply Link https://mdeal.in/c_ySS7pArFgTYWnY9 ------------------------------------- Insurance ------------------ Health Insurance Link : https://tinyurl.com/4t4tbdvy Term Insurance Link : https://tinyurl.com/3tdn8xzu
