Sermon Title: The Two Gates — The Choice That Determines Your Destiny Text: Matthew 7:13–14 At the close of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus brings His teaching to a decisive moment. After revealing the heart of God’s kingdom and calling His followers to a life of true righteousness, He now confronts every listener with a choice: two gates, two paths, and two destinations. In Matthew 7:13–14, Jesus warns that the wide gate and broad road are easy to enter and heavily traveled, but they ultimately lead to destruction. In contrast, the narrow gate and difficult road lead to life, and only a few find it. This message explores the meaning behind Jesus’ warning by examining: What the two gates represent Why the broad road is so popular Why the narrow road is difficult but life-giving How the destinations of these two paths reveal the seriousness of our choices Along the way, we will see that Jesus is not merely offering moral advice. He is calling every person to a decision about their relationship with Him. The question is not simply what we believe, but which path we are actually walking. This sermon challenges us to honestly ask: Which gate have I entered? Which road am I following? Where is my life ultimately leading?
