Cover of Bloc Party's "Skeleton" off the Little Thoughts EP (2004)! All the covers I've seen on here are of the shorter 3-minute version, so I decided to cover the longer version instead. Besides, I like how this version is faster; kind of suits the song better. This is one of the rawest Bloc Party songs out there in that it doesn't contain extensive effects, layering, or electronics. Just four guys playing their instruments. Sweet. NOTE: Both guitars play Russell's part on the chorus ("It makes a man out of me...") except for on the last chorus ("I'm just a skeleton..."). Live, I've noticed that Kele pretty much just sings for the first half of the song. In the studio, they overdub a second guitar during the choruses, so that's what I did, because it beefs up the sound and also gives me something to play during Kele's part :) Kele's guitar part got recycled when the band recorded "Luno" in 2005 (   • Bloc Party - Luno - Guitar Cover (ALL PARTS)  ). Really cool to see how certain ideas from their old stuff carried on to more well-known tunes.
