Here is a wash that I haven’t been through in some time. This is the Gateway Car Wash (or Germano’s Gateway) in Tewksbury MA! One of 3 washes that are in Tewksbury. There used to be a 4th at the Petroil station, but it’s been defunct for quite a while and is most likely permanently closed. This wash here, along with Tidal Wave, are the 2 washes I used the most in Tewksbury. My brother used to do baseball practice/played games around this exact area and Gateway and Tidal Wave were the closest options. At the time, I didn’t know there was a Haffner’s location until a few years later, when I was using maps to look up washes in the area, and found out they had a location here. The site here is decently sized, having a Mobil gas station (formally Citgo) and a pretty big C-store, along with a soft cloth tunnel wash and touch free automatic. Previously, it was only a soft cloth tunnel, but they built the touchless bay in 2014, and it opened up in March of 2015. It currently has an Oasis Typhoon with Sonny’s dryers. It isn’t in great shape however, and is an awful wash. Now the tunnel is much better, and is more interesting. It is packed with Hanna (Jim-Coleman Hanna) equipment from the late 90’s/early 2000’s, such as a triple basket front to back mitter (didn’t work today), a RARE rollover trip brush, wraps, side washers, rinse/wax arches and a combination of Sonny’s and Hanna dryers. The Sonny’s dryers were added on later, while the arch mounted Concorde dryers are original. A DRB pay station was added on later as well, and chemical providers have changed. Not sure what they used to use, but they now have FormulaFinish chemistry. The wash shown in this video was the $22 Diamond Wash with the Ceramic Coat add-on, which I think was $5, so it came to a $27 wash. It included: *Exterior Wash *Rust Inhibitor *Undercarriage Wash *Poly Sealant *Wheel Bright *Foaming Polish *Triple Foam Polish *Clear Coat Protectant *Tire Shine *Hot Wax *Ceramic Coat Wash Quality: 10/10 Comments: this wash is MILES better than the touch free they have here. It cleans much better AND it is faster as well.
