OUR FIRST BIG PAYDAY ON THE $15,000,000 MEGA DAIRY FARM! | Courtland, MN | FS25 #17

In today’s episode, we’ve officially reached the beginning of Winter here on the MEGA Dairy Farm, and while our Year 1 fieldwork and Fall tillage season are finally wrapped up, the workload certainly isn’t slowing down. Winter might put our tractors to rest in the fields, but now it’s time for one of the most exciting parts of the year—our very first payday on the farm! Before we start cashing in on all the crops we harvested throughout Year 1, we’ll kick things off by checking in on our dairy cows, who are now settling into the brand-new barn we built for them in the last episode. We’re still in the month of November for the moment, but before advancing time into late December—when crop prices peak—we’ll need to top off our cows with more TMR to hold them over for the next month. However, our commodity shed is running low on Silage after a busy Autumn of feeding, so the first order of business today is restocking. I’ll grab one of our semi trucks, hook up the Artex trailer, and make a few runs from our open silage pit back to the commodity shed so we can refill our Silage storage and keep our TMR production rolling strong through the Winter. Once the shed is stocked back up, we’ll fire up both of our mixing trucks, get them set on AutoDrive, and begin loading them with Silage, Hay, Straw, and Mineral Feed so they can mix fresh TMR and deliver it automatically to the new cow barn. After the cows are fed and secure for the coming month, we can finally move forward with time. Once we advance into late December, it’s GO time. I’ll hook both of our semi trucks up to our grain trailers, and we’ll begin hauling every last liter of Wheat from Year 1 into town for sale—officially marking our first payday on the Courtland MEGA Dairy Farm. I’ll set up new AutoDrive routes to automate the hauling from the farmyard to the South grain elevator, and as the trucks get rolling, we’ll jump back to the commodity shed to keep mixing and stockpiling more TMR to get us comfortably through the rest of Winter. Once the Wheat is sold, we’ll shift gears to the Corn. Prices are much stronger up at the North grain elevator, so I’ll take control of the trucks again and create a brand-new AutoDrive route up to the Northern side of the map. From there, our trucks will begin hauling every load of Corn we harvested in Year 1—and this should give us our biggest payday yet. But crop sales aren’t the only source of income today. Our dairy cows have already produced over 150,000 liters of Milk, and it’s finally time to sell it! I’ll head down to the dealership to purchase a brand-new Walker food-grade tanker, bring it back to the farm, get it filled up with Milk, and start hauling it into town to make our very first dairy profits!
