The scene where Anti saves Akane from within a kaiju in episode 12 of SSSS Gridman (2018), contains visual references to when Gamera saves Ayana (Gamera 3, 1999), Komon saving Nagi (Ultraman Nexus EP 37, 2005) and Shinji saving Rei (Rebuild of EVA 2.0, 2009). The whole scene of Komon saving Nagi in particular is homaged by Shinji saving Rei in EVA 2.0. Furthermore, Keiichi Hasegawa is the writer for both SSSS Gridman and Ultraman Nexus while Sushio did the key animation for both EVA 2.0 and episode 12 of Gridman so this isn't coincidental.
