Installing a PPE Fuel Rail Plug on my 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 6.6l LBZ Duramax Diesel. This has the potential to fix your P0087 Low Fuel Rail Pressure Code causing you to go into limp mode while trying to accelerate with a load. This plug can also improve throttle response according to some. This install is basically going to be the same for the earlier Duramax's ('04-'10), and the same plug also fits a Dodge Cummins from '07 to '18. As mentioned, there is controversy surrounding these products which I am not here to debate, I am just here to relay the information I have learned in reaching out to PPE, tuners, and other Duramax guys. If you're heavy into the throttle and let off due to someone cutting you off or something like that and then you immediately jump back into full throttle in order to pass them, you have the potential to create a fuel pressure spike in the system which is what the stock valve is for. If you replace the stock valve with this plug the fuel will have nowhere to go and COULD wreak havoc on your injectors. I don't personally know of any cases in which this has happened, but I've heard those terrible "I know a guy who knows a guy" stories. If you do this, just be mindful of your driving habits.
