DAY TRIP FROM MOSCOW 2020 | Visiting Etnomir and Sergiev Posad in the Moscow Region

Moscow is a great city, but sometimes you really want to get away from the capital, the noise and traffic to visit something interesting not far from the city. This is what my new video is about. I spent the weekend outside of Moscow with my parents and visited two really unique places in the Moscow region. First day we spent in the Kaluga region (90km from Moscow). There in the beginning I visited a Church with a beautiful viewpoint. I also showed you how a country house of a Muscovite looks like (in Russian we call it a dacha). And the main point of our trip was a visit to the Etnomir. Etnomir is an ethnographic Park-Museum that presents architecture, culture, national cuisine, traditions and everyday life of different world Nations. A very interesting place, and most importantly, the children will be delighted. There by the way you can spend the night in themed hotels. Etnomir - https://ethnomir.ru/   / ethnomir.ru     / ethnomir.official   On the second day we went to Sergiev Posad (70km from Moscow). This is one of the oldest cities in Russia. The town was founded at 1337. Although Sergiev Posad is a small town, it is home to one of the most important and most beautiful sights in Russia - The Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius. This is the largest monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church with a long history. Not only tourists, but also locals are always impressed by seeing this monastery. I also showed you The Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius and another interesting place in Sergiev Posad - The Chernigovsky skete. Hope I gave you ideas of things to see in Moscow region!
