Tranny service for 200 series 2017 LX570 and Toyota Landcruiser

Howdy folks, this is my approach to changing a 2017 Lexus LX 570 transmission fluid and filter, and applies to 200 series LX and Toyota LandCruiser. One note of caution is my fluid return line was on the bottom driver side of the LX vs LandCruiser which may be on the passenger side. In my opinion this is a DIY service but you will need the appropriate tools, ability to raise and lower the vehicle and a method for confirming transmission fluid operating temperature. In my case I used an OBD2 scanner to accomplish the op temp requirement. If you are thinking of doing this service for your vehicle plan on studying up before attempting, there are many good references on YouTube. This was my first tranny flush and it worked great, the vehicle is now shifting better and for this model a reduction the slowing rolling shift up between first and second gear…in my opinion. Note of the torque settings and transmission temp range I used: transmission side cover exposing fill port 9 ft lb, refill port 12 ft lb, drain pan protective cover 37 ft lb, drain pan gasket bolts 65 inch lbs, transmission filter 84 inch lbs, 102 - 115 degree temp for final transmission fluid level check.
