Fantasy in G: Metamorphosis- by Grace Fisher

My piece Fantasy in G: Metamorphosis, premiered live at the Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara. This is probably my favorite piece I’ve written to date and is inspired by the process of metamorphosis. Hatching from an “A” the orchestra develops and goes through a series of transformations; first an unstable wind section which grows into a beautiful harp solo. Then the strings take over and the main theme starts. The theme varies and develops and builds up to a “tutti” section which sends the orchestra into flight. Performed by the Solstice Chamber Orchestra in Santa Barbara I hope you enjoy! :)
