Winter Birds, Spring Flowers, and a Night Visitor

Well, it's not spring yet. It got cooler again here, although not too bad. The birds are still singing, though, and I'm starting to see signs of nesting activity. I didn't see any more spring migrants this week. I did see some of our winter birds, including some Juncos. I hope those little snow birds aren't a sign that we still have some snow ahead of us. A fun surprise this week was a little Screech Owl visit to the bird pond. I've been hearing the larger Barred Owls a lot a night recently. Sometimes I spot them up in the trees during the day.
