War Thunder Air Sim VR: F4U-4B Corsair Bomber Chase Turns Into 1v6 With Enemy Fighters

F4U-4B Corsair vs Ju 288 C, P38L, Bf 109 K-4, A7M1, Fw 190 A-8, Fw 190 D, and BI Unfortunately, I did not get the warthunder replay for this so I couldn't take any cool screenshots of the fight for a thumbnail. This clip started out rather peacefully with me watching the flak below, the recent update to how aggressive SPAAA are has made it much easier to fly in the boom and zoom style in sim. You can fly up high and patrol any area with SPAA and simply wait and watch where they shoot, it will point you in the direction of nearby enemy and friendly aircraft. I spotted a Ju 288 C nearby being shot at by the flak below and started to dive towards him. Typically, I avoid attacking bombers unless I have a large enough energy advantage that I can make high speed diving attacks at aggressive angles, in this situation I did. After two passes on the bomber I had depleted my energy such that I thought it better I not try for a third pass when I was intercepted by a P38L and a Bf 109 K-4. I rip my flaps turning with the P38L in a downward spiral and it costs me the shot, but an aggressive neg G pitch down onto him at low altitude nets me a shot on his left engine and he ends up crashing in to the ground. The K-4 and an A7M1 both zoom past me as I roll out of the way. The A7M1 pulls to the right and I take him out with some long range cannon spray as an Fw 190 A model of some kind, probably A-8 at this battle rating, flies right under me. Dodge the guns of an Fw 190 D model of some kind and go for the killshot on the Anton. Shortly after a BI joins the fight, never fought this thing, kinda spooky to be honest. Dodge away from the Dora as the BI flies right in front of my guns narrowly missing his demise. The Dora ends up in front of my nose somehow again, and I land a couple hits on him before running out of ammo and geting shot down by the BI. I think the Dora crashes due to the hits I landed on him as I die as well but no replay so hard to tell, not sure what happened to the K-4 either. Really wish I had the warthunder replay for this so I could watch the fight from a more clear view but oh well. Well played to all.
