I put together some raw footage of Hurricane Dorian hitting Sapphire Beach on St. Thomas in the USVI. This will show you what a Cat 1 Hurricane looks like. When we went to bed they said this was just going to be a tropical storm and that it would be 160 miles to the south of us. When we woke up in the morning my wife got a text that school was canceled and we had a Cat 1 Hurricane making landfall around 1:00. So if you are in the projected path of Dorian you had better take it seriously. This island had two Cat 5 hurricanes two years ago and trees that made it through those storms did not make it through this one. One more note... the roofing materials you see flying around are because they are still fixing the roofs from those Hurricanes that hit 2 years ago.
